Welcome!

I am an Associate Professor of Political Science at the College of the Holy Cross. I am also a Visiting Scholar at the Women’s Studies Research Center at Brandeis University. In Spring 2026, I will be a Senior Fellow at the M.S. Merian - R. Tagore International Centre for Advanced Studies (ICAS) in New Delhi.

I study and teach Comparative Politics with regional specializations in Africa and South Asia. My substantive interests include the study of political violence, sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), and social movements and contentious politics. I earned my PhD in Political Science from Northwestern University and my MPhil in International Relations from the University of Cambridge, where I studied as a Gates Cambridge Scholar.

I welcome you to explore this website and learn more about me and my interests.
